Lynn Goodman was born in New York City and raised in New York and the Boston areas.
She received her Bachelor of Fine Arts at the Philadelphia College of Art (now known as the University of the Arts), and went on to receive a Master of Fine Arts in Ceramics at Southern Illinois University at Carbondale.
Lynn has shown nationally in juried exhibits and invitationals, and is a former partner of the cooperative crafts gallery, Brooklyn Artisans Gallery. She also regularly teaches wheel throwing and the occasional glaze calculation class at local ceramics studios and at the college level.
Lynn is also the president of Brooklyn Potters, an organization of tri-state potters. The organization has an ongoing display benefitting the Empty Bowls Project, a national hunger relief effort by potters.
Lynn currently resides in Brooklyn, New York with her husband, Joe Banish, and Niblet the cat.
